WHEN CAN MY DOG OR CAT BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED?

The general age at which dogs and cats should be spayed or neutered is about six months. Spaying and neutering animals when they are young helps them avoid possible complications later and enables a quicker recovery. The goal is to perform the surgery after your pet has sufficiently developed but before they can experience any issues with their reproductive system.

While 6 months is the recommended age, some pets may need to be spayed/neutered either sooner or later depending on their health. We always put your pet’s wellbeing first and can delay their spay or neuter surgery in favor of creating a more urgent issue.
