Our animal hospitals in Hyde Park are dedicated to helping people protect their pets from various diseases, and vaccines make this possible. In addition to offering core vaccines to protect against deadly viruses like rabies and distemper, we can also recommend lifestyle-based vaccines if your dog or cat is at a high risk. WHY THE RABIES VACCINE IS REQUIRED BY LAW
Rabies is one of the most dangerous, life-threatening diseases affecting animals. While nowhere near as common in people, they can also be at risk of infection under certain circumstances. The rabies virus is highly contagious and can cause certain death if not addressed immediately. Therefore, due to the danger this virus poses to the animal population, vaccination to prevent it from spreading is necessary.
Common symptoms of rabies include fever, seizure, paralysis, fear of water, and an inability to swallow.
